A few tears came to my eye when I found this website - at the thought that I might finally meet someone with whom I could share some lifestyle values and passions. I'm not easily moved to tears - I'm generally a very stoical, practical kind of gal, but I do often feel the odd one out!
I work as a therapist with the elderly and love my job because I get to interact with some fascinating people and often have the satisfaction of helping them achieve goals. I'm often trying new things and reaching for distant goals, and I believe this is inspirational to many around me.
I like to try and keep myself healthy, increasingly so as I get older. I need to spend time outside every day, usually cycling, running/walking or gardening but when I get the chance, I enjoy cycle touring, hillwalking, skiing, climbing, canoeing and generally exploring the world around me. This has been made easier by the fact that my daily runaround is a T4 campervan - getting away at the weekend has never been so easy! Thanks to a love of history and art, exploring an urban area can often be just as interesting as a rural one - one of my favourite cycle rides was a Monopoly tour of London, and I've explored Bristol and Sheffield on foot using art trails of painted sheep and cows. I'm a vegetarian (almost plant-based) who has never smoked and drinks very little, but I have a very sweet tooth so there's still room for dietary improvement! I believe in looking at things holistically and address my spiritual and emotional sides through yoga and meditation (Vipassana).
I'm a affectionate, generous and thoughtful person who would love to meet someone with whom to share some passions and values, whilst mutually inspiring and supporting each other. I love discussing dreams and ideas, having fun, giving foot massages and creating deep connections. I love sponteneity but also long, worked-for plans. I like to address problems head-on yet I often head off to get away from it all. As an adult, I've often relocated for various reasons, and am open to continue doing so - I hope to live abroad one day.
I've probably waffled on for far too long, and not mentioned half the things I should have - but this should give you a little idea re what I'm like. Apologies for the photo - I'm trying to get it sorted but I'm terrible with technology! I look forward to hearing from you xx
